While hands-on learning is invaluable for a dog trainer, I also completed a Canine Learning & Management Program under the guidance of Susan Bulanda, a world-renowned dog behaviorist and animal trainer. This program covered a wide range of topics relevant to dog training, including, but not limited to: animal communication, old and modern training methodologies, teaching the fundamentals of obedience, and considerations for southpaw dog training. It also explored the differences between canine sports and working dogs, comparative psychology, operant versus classical conditioning, training and behavior counseling, pet first aid, and natural solutions.
